It took me a whole day to get to this page. The post better come out later. Haha.

Went out with honey yesterday. Actually, should be went over to his housefor a while. Watched TV, played Sims and ate lunch with his mum. I complained that I was hungry so he said he'll bring me to this place-which-I-dunno-where to eat. After we ate our "tea-break" that consisted of fried prawn noodles and ngo hiang, we walked to this near-by reservior that looks very beautiful. I didn't know that such places exsisted in Singapore. From there, can see this beautiful path of flowers and can catch the sunset there.

Walked further down, saw many people fishing for prawns there and they fished quite a lot despite the number of people doing so. Many monkeys as well. After that, we went back home for dinner again.

He commented yesterday that my face looks rounder and he's proud that its all his efforts.

That's the path of flowers.

And from here, the sunset. We didn't wait for it though. The sun was only half setting.

Yan Ping has done so many things that angered the staffs in the ward in a single day. They are all asking us if she's in the same batch as us because her new nametag doesn't have the colour tags. They thought that she was still in Year1. =x

1. She brought a patient with a PEG dressing to shower without covering the dressing with a plastic bag, thus soaking the wound. Furthermore, the dressing has to be done by Sister. She thought that she could just ask the staff nurse about the dressing and re-do it. So the issue was brought up to sister and the lecturer was called in at the end of the day. We guessed that she left the fall risk patient in the toilet himself because she said she only found the dressing wet when he came out of shower.

2. During doctor's round, one of the doctors asked her to prepare a dressing trolley. So she went to ask the staff nurse who was busy with a going-for-op patient. The staff nurse asked her to look for the wound nurse, who is one of the sisters, called Daya[sp?]. Sister Daya was in the cubicle. But, YP went back to the doctor and called HIM Daya and asked about the dressing. The doctor asked her to ask the staff again. Being nice, I went to tell her Daya is Sister Daya who is in the cubicle. And she told the sister she not sure which wound and the sister asked her to confirm then get back to her. YP went back to the doctor and ask which wound again. Sister was so angry that YP actually made a fool out of herself.

3. During PEG feeding, YP aspirated undigested milk out of the patient. Without informing the ANs, she went to discard the milk and continued the feeding. She almost fed the wrong one because she didn't check the charts, lucky another student went in to stop her in time. When we told her that she should inform the ANs, she told us that the SCHOOL TAUGHT US THAT AS LONG AS THE LITMUS PAPER TURN PINK CAN FEED. AND THAT SHE DON'T HAVE TO REPORT THESE THINGS TO THE STAFFS. I remember the school teaching us PEG don't have to test litmus paper and we have to tell the staffs if anything happens. She even said that if I/V bag finish already, we can go and check the case notes and than change the bag ourselves. ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO THAT?

Gosh. How did she pass her previous postings? I'm so scared of working with her now. What if something happens but it's not done by me? She even wanted to do the telemetry[some heart equipment] thingy. Now the whole ward knows who is she and what she has done.

Two more weeks to go for attachments to end. Am I lucky or not for not having Year 1s in my ward? Heard of so many bad things about them, including Sue's complain about that girl.

YanPing's getting more and more attitude these days. And she takes cab to and fro NUH and home. Gosh. Rich sia. She got a new name for herself - Raecheal. And her new nametag reads:"Yan Ping Su Raecheal". I wonder why isit not "Su Yan Ping Raecheal" or "Raecheal Su Yan Ping". The spelling is wierd too. Anyway, this girl is making me mad as always.

There was a new admission once in her cubicle and that uncle don't know how to speak chinese and only know teochew. I was busy with NGT feeding, parameters and answering of call bells when this girl came up to me:
YP: Jia Qian, you know how to speak teochew?
Me: No, I don't. Sorry. Maybe you can ask the Year 3 girl for help.
YP: But the patient only knows Teochew. Or what other dialect you know?
Me: You already said the uncle only know teochew. Or you try speaking to him in chinese.
YP: He say he don't understand...
Me: But I'm really dunno teochew. Sorry.

And I walked away. She went back to the patient's bedside without looking for anymore help until the patient falls asleep and we're about to go off work. I walked past and out of concern, I asked if she finished that admission. She said she havent. So the malay students helped her out. That uncle KNOWS malay.

Her admission form she filled up as: Hearing, Impaired. Dentures, None.
In actual fact: The uncle has no problem hearing and HAVE dentures in the drawer!

We were discussing about whether or not to cancel or write a new piece. She then snatched that piece back and said,"Do a new one then.". When we asked her for her one to copy over, she said,"don't need la. no use what." wth.

Lucky she's not working with me this time round. *slap mouth* The roster will be rotated for the next 2 weeks. Lols.

Went out to celebrate mooncake festival with honey and his friends last night. Had a great time lighting up the candles, lanterns and sparkles. Passed him his present before meeting up with them and I'm so glad that he like it. *phew* And he said, he was about to buy another tie because his was spoilt already.

Watched "Rob-B-Hoon" as well. It's a very nice movie. Its funny and there is also the touching parts. Quite usual in Jackie Chan's movies I must say.

Time passes so quickly huh? It's already 2 months!

Zeyan reccomended this show on youtube to me. It's really touching and I completed all 11 episodes of it. It is a Japanese drama serial named "One litres of tears". Its about this 15 year old girl with a diesease called, "Spinocellubellar[sp?] Diesease". It can cause her to stubble when walking, cannot walk properly and cannot talk properly. It's about how this 15 year-old girl struggled with this illness for 10years before passing away. Its based on a true story.

Anyway, went out to IMM just now to get him a present. It was suppossed to be his one-month present. I dunno if he'll like it. I dunno how to choose guy's stuffs anyway. Its a tie. We once saw one he liked, but I cannot remember the design. I now realised how bad a girlfriend I am. He actually remembered the exact design of the watch which I said I liked, but I couldn't remember the design of that tie he liked. The person told me that it can be exchanged though.

Wrapped it up nicely already, ready to pass it to him tomorrow. =)

I sure had an unforgettable birthday this year. It all started early in the morning when he called, telling me that we have to meet earlier. I rushed abit and met him at Outram station, only to find out that the chalet he's bringing me to is at Pulau Ubin. BUT, that place is fantastic! The scenery is just so beautiful. The beaches, the room, the seafood and the surprise he planned! How can I not love him more? Hehe.

He told me he forgot my present while rushing and can only pass to me after the chalet thingy and he didn't want to tell me what is it.

We took a ferry there and we checked in. Went to rent 2 bicycles and we went cycling around that island. I fell quite a few times all because of him - he braked right infront of me. No injuries anyway, but my legs and arms are aching from all the cycling.

Went back for our small barbeque dinner and slacked in the room as it was late. Just before we cut the cake, he took out my birthday present! I was asked to feel inside a paper bag which I thought he wanted to play a prank on me. Ha. Guess what? It was the limited edition "Little Prince" watch from Sovil Titus. He said he remember me seeing it and telling him that I liked it. I actually forgot all about it already. That was so sweet of him lah! I don't even remember it myself. Cut the cake and went to bed soon after that.

Next up, is the sunrise! He went to change both bicycles to the double one as it was dark in the early morning. He woke me up early at 5am to cycle up to this beach at the far end to view the sunrise. Beautiful. However, more aches added to my thighs and arms. Lols. But, it was worth it.

Went back for breakfast and continued eating the cake. We finished up the cake and took a nap and back to Singapore. Had lunch and walked around Serangoon to look for fish to add into his tank.

Went back Jurong for dinner and here I am. Will post up the photos when I get it from him. =)
